JQuill....can you post the files you installed on your storage card to get it working?

They have it running but they are still having issues. They got over the hurdle of it crashing before ever booting. They still have a long way to go. As far as I know they are still having trouble with touch screen drivers.
If you watch the video posted of it booting up the guy gets a few seconds out of it before it crashes to a blue screen. Even if they get past that I'm sure they will still have issues with getting all the hardware to work correctly. Nice to see it's getting along but it will still be a long time coming before it's a fully operational OS. |

I wouldn't recommend installing this just yet. Like Wil said, it's not a fully functional OS. Use with caution.

Yeah, don't install Android unless you are ready to help build it.
Linux on the other hand...all I can say is good luck but once you get it working you are NOT limited to Ubuntu. Up to I think 10 different versions of Linux currently work on the HD2...and Linux is currently 100 times more functional than android is on the HD2. The real story here is Linux. If you really want Android on this phone, it's bootable but like everyone has said...still mad bugs yo. |
Re: Android and Ubuntu now booting on HTC HD2 (pics)
I'd rather run Linux than Android anyway, so good.

Re: Android and Ubuntu now booting on HTC HD2 (pics)
Even with Linux I believe you have to use a keyboard and mouse to control any thing.

Is more information regarding the "how-to" and which files are working found on XDA? Mine's not even here yet and I've been curious if it was going to be pursued, ..nice!
