check this thread at xda. It is where the developing team is posting updates. Right now it can't be done. I have to ask though, why would you want to put android on the HD2 instead of just getting an EVO?

Maybe you should have gotten another Android.......don't expect it any time in the near future. Even if they get it running it will not be perfect. Look at other devices that already have Android ported and running. They still have issues with everything working. No GPS, no camera, calling issues, etc etc. It is nothing you would want to use as a daily OS. It's just fun to load up to play with.

well in short you did buy a windows phone so settle until by some act of miricle they perfectly combine the two systems Hardware and Software to make some kind of magical hybrid (already did, Sprint EVO) but hey i feel you i got HD2 and Moto Cliq i would love to see these two phones merge into a beast of display apps and speed (idea: Hd2 with android and keyboard) the power of androids rests in the power of the App. at the same time i see where you coming from you just want to make the most of what youy already have right?

If I may! In his defense, not everyone keeps up to date on this stuff. (That is not a shot at anyone) He might not have Windows on his Mac, but you can put Windows on a Mac, and you can put Mac on a PC. As a matter of fact you can Dual boot both OS's on both types of computer. I only say this to state the fact that most people coming from a computer to a smart phone might not know what is and isn't possible with it.

We all know that you should be able to put any OS you want on anything you want as long as it can handle it. Also if you say you are satisfied with the apps available to WM, you either don't do much or you are lying to yourself. WM has a lot of great features that I enjoy, and while there is a phone like the HD2 with Android, you can't use it on T-Mobile.

I have been reading this forum for many many many years, and it would be a better place if you guys would either ignore posts that irritate you, or explain to the person "the deal".

T-mobile has 14 day buyer remorse, might be his best option. He should have done is research better. You don't buy a Mac or a PC and immediately look to completely redo it. Why should you be able to put any OS on any phone???? These aren't like computers where the layout is the same (same keyboard, same basic mouse). Some have hardware buttons, some don't.
I think it boils down to an informed purchase. You need to research before hand what you want in your phone, prioritize those things and decide a best phone for you. I really like a hardware keyboard, but decided I could live without it to get the 1ghz proc, double ram and upcoming HSPA+ on a WinMo phone.
