New Rom for Huawei Ascend
 

Can anyone point me in the right direction for creating a custom rom for my huawei ascend. Im very smart when it comes to programming but this phone stumps me.

Try cyanogenmods.com or xda.developers.com. first you might need a dump of the rom/os on your ascend. Pretty much your looking to compile your own package to flash and test.

can anyone show me were i can find a custom rom for this device. My sister owns one and is looking to make it faster.

True!!! My Ascend's a lot of fun and facilitates a pretty rapid learning experience for Android... and Linux... and Python... and Ruby... aaaand so on and on and on...

Try PlayfulGod's latest build of CyanogenMod 7.2... it is good. And pretty friendly when it comes to swapping out system apps with your own. It comes stock with ADW Launcher (which I thought was a HIGHLY stylish move on PG's part); but I've had ZERO difficulty trying out my own little swaps here and there.
