Continuous Autofocus (Video Recording)
 

has anyone felt we needed to focus while still recording a video ? Im looking into modding to make this happen if anyone has any input please contact me!!

Being able to autofocus during video recording with the Evo would be huge!!! I was searching for a solution for my Evo when I found this thread. When I take video, anytime I move closer to someone or an object it goes out of focus. It really makes the videos look horrible with all the blurryness.

Where does the problem lie with the autofocus during video? Is it the camera application, a hardware limitation, or something in Android?

im thinking its just as easy as finding the auto focus code from the camera app and have it injected into the camcorder apps code (looped) im still looking into it!

If not continuous focus, even having a "tap screen to focus" feature while recording video would be a big improvement. Currently if one wants to re-focus, one has to stop recording, focus, then start recording, thus having fragmented videos.
