Credit Card Processing For Android

I was wondering if any small business owners out there have any recommendiations for a credit card processing application and company. I've been looking at this company http://www.merchantanywhere.com/. I run a small mobile computer repair business and would love to be able to accept credit cards with my htc evo if anybody has any suggestions please let me know thank you.

if you with square make sure ya check what transaction and weekly amount they start you with. and if ya manage to actually get the reader, let me know. been following them almost since they started up close to a year ago and they keep changing things also like what you can sell, transaction and weekly limits, fees...

I don't think from what I've been reading square is not coming out soon. From what I've been seeing square is not coming out with the card reader anytime soon. I have to redo my yellow page ad and for the last few years I never accepted credit card but this year I'm looking in to all options to accept credit cards and I have to figure something out by the 15th of this month. I would love to use square just don't see it happening in the near time feature. any suggestions.

If you have a costco membership look at
http://www.elavon.com/acquiring/costco/ if you have an exec membership no monthly fee (besides minimum not sure what that is off hand) I do not use there gateway, I have an authorize.net gateway setup already.

If you have a sams club membership look thru that as well.

Merchant warehouse is another good one http://merchantwarehouse.com/ (I used them before as well),

the $25.00 monthly fee on the one you seen looks kindof high, the others might have a minimum $25.00 fee, but that is based on $25.00 of fees accessed from the transaction %

The costco membership I have is $100.00, but I more then make that up with savings on CC processing with the no monthly statement fee (saves $120 a year, plus other services like the free amex, and 5% fedex amex discount) as well as other perks,

Also if you dont use CC's a lot there are a few pay as you go type places, with a high % rate, but no minimums or anything.
Hope this helps a bit.
Dave

Thanks dave. I believe I would do more credit processing if I accepted credit cards I've had a lot of people ask me if I accept credit cards and at the time I didn't some would pay me in cash, check other would hire somebody else. I do have a costco membership and also a sams club membership. let me research those 2 and see if they have an android app or something similar. thank you

Re: Credit Card Processing For Android

here is another one, ive used there app with my auth.net gateway and works good
http://www.1nbcard.com/content/credi...romotions.html

There monthly fee is not to bad since it appears to include a gateway.
the Gateway fee for me is like $8-$9 a month (im still set up with the merchantwharehouse gateway with the costco for my processing company, dont know if merchantwharehouse would sell just a gateway though, and then use the link above for the app. If you have any questions feel free to pm me incase i loose this thread

Square works great for me

Be careful when looking at this. Square will have issues with PCI compliance. I would recommend Sage Payments Solutions. They have a reader and are compliant, with no minimum processing. Send me a private note and I will give you more details (cost, discount etc)

What problems will they have. They are Tier 1 PCI Compliant. Ive been using them for months now and have had not one problem. They do Daily Deposits, only fees I get are 2.75% of what I charge. I can take a picture of the person so never get a charge back. So why would I want to pay more for less. Square all day long :)

how long does it take for the money to show in your account after you charge with Square? Also what if a customer wanted his money back for whatever valid reason does it have to go through square or you can just give it back yourself if you have the cash?

it takes about 2 days, and you can refund the money thru square. This way they get all the money back so no fees are paid.

is there a monthly minimum or maybe a deactivation for not processing anything in a month or two

I know this will come in handy when im on the road and sell something but its not something that im doing all the time also i always ask to be paid in cash but it wouldn hurt to have this with me for a just in case situation

no monthly mins or maintenance fees for Square. I dont think an account gets deactivated. Mine goes several months without being used and its always ready when I need it. I keep my card reader in my backpack just in case I ever need it. Its a good solution!

Nope the only down side is you only claim 1000 each month, so if you do alot of sales then Square might not be right for you. I never do over a 1000 a month so its perfect for me.
