Video Chat any good yet?

So I know we have had Front Facing Cameras on some phones for a while. I do not have one as of yet, I have a Droid Incredible. I was curious if there was any good video chatting setup for android yet. I know Google Talk has it for some phones.

The issue I have is this, with an Iphone you can call anyone with and Iphone via their phone number. With GTalk, they have to have the app in the first place, then you need their phone number, and the GTalk app has to be running...

Is seemless video chatting coming for Android? Is it already pretty good?

BTW I am not switching to Iphone so don't suggest that 8)

its not great. the idea of its cool, but the reality, not so much. its all about bandwidth, and most people just don't have it lol.... and we're pushing 4g. fuck that, we need to be putting up NEW 3g towers. i live on the north shore of long island, and my commute is normally west towards the city, and i lose signal 100% of the time for about 10 miles. that's CRAZY. sprint verizon att tmobile whatever company you have, its like trying to make a call in chernobyl

You make a good point, with Tango, Skype, Qik, or Fring, all other people need to have the app first as well.

Seamless built in video chat seems to be in development for Ice Cream Sandwich Android. However, currently, the iPhone requires a wifi connection for video calling(another way for AT&T to save themselves bandwidth). Although any of the Android alternatives work on 3G, they don't generally work well. Is it already pretty good? Eh...
