Google maps - offline viewing available
 

FYI - just got the Google maps 5.7 update for my EVO 3D. Go into the labs (menu.. more.. labs) and select the download map area. Now, on the maps page, you can download map area for offline viewing!

the 10 square miles is a bit small for my liking since city+suburbs is around 100 square miles here but meh, took most of the night but I got this side of the state now lol

Too bad the cache doesnt autoupdate, but I can't foresee the roads changing that fast so I dont mind. It's nice to cache since my connection sometimes doesn't keep up with my car and I'd miss turns before while it is scrolling a blank map.
