Locate, lock and wipe your lost phone...

I hope I'm not late to the party on this... If you're a TEP subscriber, Sprint/Asurion has a free app designed to let you locate, lock, wipe and even sound an alarm on your phone.

Go to Sprint Total Equipment Protection for more information

I think it was on the news page a few days ago. You can download it directly from the marketplace.

Yes, search for "the protection app" and it'll be the first one listed.

i DL'ed it, but haven't set it up. Since it's in the market, how does it distinguish a TEP customer from a non-TEP customer? Can any Sprint Android user with a supported device use this app?

I don't know the answer to this. I'm a TEP subscriber, but I was wondering the same thing b/c when I set it up, I don't recall it doing any kind of authentication. Try it and let us know your results. Good luck, hope it works for you.
