Re: Does Setcpu really work?
I played with is for about a month and never felt like I was gaining much. I flashed one of the SBC kernels and got a lot more for my money.

It does work. If it didn't then I would have thrown mine through the window. This program makes my evo so awesome.

I would run one for a day and then flash another, trying to compare. Think I am on the Non-Hav now. They all work but I don't see that much difference between each of them. |
Re: Does Setcpu really work?
I gained about 4-5 hours of battery life it SetCPU. When I was using it my setup was as follows:
(I don't remember the exact Mhz settings but this should be close.) Screen on: 614-1000 Screen off: 245-499 Battery less than 20%: 245-499 Charging: 1000 Also, my phone did not auto detect correct when I was setting it up so I have to manually select the Nexus One/Snapdragon setting. Also had to disable Perflock in the program as well. Once those two things were done, it worked great. There was a little lag when I'd turn the screen on when the CPU would throttle up but thats it. Hope this helps! |
