AT&T U-Verse released and Android app today but only made it available for AT&T users. thanks to my friend @irtehun he has made the apk available to all of us

to install,

copy the apk to your SD card and use Astro File manager (or any other file manager)

or

email it to yourself and click install.

yes much thanks man, I have been using that freaking Uverse Web Remote from my 2.2 browser (I'm on tmobile) to record football and stuff, now I finally have an app :)

This was one reason I liked the iPhone so much, for the uverse app

Don't you need to be a U-Verse suscriber to actually use this app? Allowing people that have U-Verse but don't use ATT Wireless to use it. I thought it was for scheduling your DVR, hence logging in with your U-Verse sign-on.

Is it supposed to actually watch live TV or just clips/trailers??

I have you seen the commerial of the woman at the train station watching TV on train station and when called she turns to her phone to continue watching the movie.

The app is still working fine for me. I used my login/password for my ATT Uverse account the first time and it never asked me again. I just cleaned off a bunch of iCarly and Hannah Montana from my daughter and her "record every damn show she watches" syndrome...
