Go to the Market and type in "Adfree Android" it should be the first item that comes up. Works really good!

I downloaded AdFree from the market...haven't had a chance to play with it.

It looks like it edits the hosts file with known ad servers to redirect to 127.0.0.1 and essentially not show the ad.

Here's a custom hosts file, which you can flash just like a rom from recovery. Works great with froyo ...

If you flash it, how do you uninstall it?

Why would you want to? If you are rooted, you can use a file explorer and delete the contents of system\etc\hosts. If not, you can pull the hosts file from the archive, open it with notepad, delete the contents, overwrite the old hosts file, sign, and reflash.

The nice things about adfree are: a) well, its free b) You can update the hosts file ota
