Weird swype and official 2.2 bug.
 

I have the official 2.2 rom. When using swype.. if I "swype" the word.. I get a double short beep and nothing. I can click the individual letters and it works.

I uninstall, and re-downloaded the official swype installer and ran it.. same thing..

Any suggestions?

with mine i cant even get swype to be my keyboard, any suggestions on what to do?

probably Swype is not setup to work on Froyo yet like multitouch

I selected the other keyboard, then selected swype back again.. it seems to fix it.. so far.

I got in on the Swype Beta testing. For the 2.2 update, their website said to uninstall the installer and the Swype software. I did that, went to the original email, on my phone, that they had sent me for the beta testing, clicked the link, and installed it again. Works like a champ.

I did that too.. still had the issue. Again selecting the stock KB, then select swype back fixed it so far.
