Watch .avi?
 

I put some movies on my SD card but can't seem to play them. So like on my TP2 I got the coreplayer.cab I had from before and using astro file manager tried to open/install coreplayer but nothing is happening.

Is there an evo specific file manager I should be using, or how are you guys watching shows/movies on the evo?

Go to the market and download RockPlayer. It supports avi, divx.

I guess the problem is just coreplayer, oh well

I found and DLed RockPlayerBase from
(decided to use the market instead)
and everything seems to be working now.

Sorry for making the post, then finding the answer so easy. Actually this rockplayer app is working better, and looks better than coreplayer ever did so kind of glad it crapped out on me.

edit you guys are fast, since the main question of the thread was answered so completely. What file manager do you guys prefer for this phone?

No cab file will run on the Android OS. Cab files are for Windows Mobile only.

It would be awesome if Core player worked for Android, but it doesn't appear so. I hope they decide to wake up and smell the market share and develop since Android is going to outnumber mostly everything else in the next couple of years. Core was my favorite player on WinMob....

How to watch a movies on the EVO , I tried watching a movie 21blackjack i downloaded from itunes, and i drag to my sdcard, When i tried run the file, it saids cannot open file, How do i watch mp4 on evo

if the regular player doesn't work, get rock player from the market place, it will play xvid, avi movies as well
