LMAO, nah bro. Its just that two of the biggest reasons why I had second thoughts of getting an evo are 1. no slingbox support and 2. no half decent video player. Slingbox obviously was released a few weeks ago which did make me jizz just a little but not having a decent video player was driving me insane. I have been a huge fan of coreplayer for a very long time, its supposedly been in development for android for about 2 years but I can't find any new information on it. I use my phone for alot of media type functions being that I travel quite often so having to stop and convert anything so I can use it on my evo is just a waste of time. So sorry for being a little excited:)

thanks for posting!

whats the video performance of this player? I mean will it play fluid enough to watch.. I know some one posted a review on one player and showed the frame rate and it was in the low 20 and single digits

what gets me is if you click and hold on a file within RP it gives you an option (among others) to "delete file". well when you attempt that it tells you rather rudely "im not a file manager!" (complete with exclamation point to boot!!)... lol well then do ask me if i want to delete something then FOO! :p

it displays the frame rate up top. the 3 videos i just played (you-tube flash vids converted to mp4) played between 29.97 and 30.1 according to the display...

and ohh other than the player looking a bit more sleeker, its no different than the beta version. so if you were lucky enuff to beta test then just hang onto that if you dont yet want to purchase the app...

All videos I tried played smooth and the picture quality was excellent. I threw everything at it except 720p videos. I have a 480p mkv of avatar that played no problems and looked beautiful. You don't even need to purchase it if you don't want to, the adds only show when you are using the video controls, not during normal playback. The adds are really a nonfactor on this one. I have an earlier beta and there are sound issues that have been mostly corrected so go ahead and download the latest version from the market, you won't be disappointed.

Man...anit that the truth...I personally have no problem paying for a decent app...in addition...the dev needs incentive to make more:mrgreen:

FYI...Zimly is a great player...but you have to have the videos first!

So, does it play through the HDMI out yet? I've got quite a ew mkv files that I would love to play on the plasma without converting to mp4. Converting them makes them grow from 4-500 meg to over a gig...

I have a 640x480 .flv file I downloaded from Hulu to watch on plane trips. I also downloaded a 480x360 .flv file from hulu as well. The 640x480 pixelates every so often (much less now with the newest V7 version). The 480x360 plays with no pixelation. The sound is slightly off sync with the larger file as well.

This version play my (high and Main) .h264 encoded files as well. I'm very impressed with this player so far.

Am I the only one having issues playing files? I'm playing 480p MKV files (H264 codec) and getting a LOT of stuttering and audio/video sync issues. Had the same issues with the beta.
