Rename an app icon?
 

i searched around and didn't really find anything.

how can i rename an icon of an app on my home screen? most are too long and don't show the full name anyway.

Personally im not sure this is possible, at least not without tweaking apk or something. I would be interested to see how to do this though, assuming theres a way.

I wonder if there a rename command that you can use in adb? The apk might not run properly though.

i downloaded the silent mode toggle from the app store and when you add the widget to your home screen it first prompts you to name the icon... i wonder if this can be applied to any icon?

I think you can rename it with BetterCut.

the description is kinda vague... i don't want to pay for it if it doesn't do what i want. does any one have BetterCut and can confirm i can rename any icon?

well crap! was hoping for someone to jave the knowledge to rename a app icon on my home screen hTc Evo guess not booooo lol
