Beautiful widgets?

I was under the impression that the home widget did weather animations.. am I missing something?

It has animations when you touch it to open weather, I haven't really paid much attention to any other aspects of it.

I know in some of the new 2.1 roms, if you unlock your phone by hitting the menu button instead of sliding the lockscreen down, the screen will have a little weather animation.
