Sorry if this is a newbie question. I am trying to figure out on the Evo how do I view webpages in Desktop view and not in the mobile view. Been trying since yesterday and can't figure it out. :oops:

Open your browser, tap menu, tap more, tap settings, uncheck mobile view!

Android Browser is in my opinion way better than the Iphone's and Windows Mobile browsers...by far....I was wondering that same question but figured it out when I was at the Sprint store playing around with the phone.

Dolphin is amazing. If you read and learn the way to use it. Dolphin is def a new experience. I might throw a review on YouTube later on.

I have to admit, dolphin browser is pretty amazing. I literally feel like I am browsing from my desktop, skyfire is good too though but not quite as good.

The default browser is very nice, so nice im having a hard time deciding what to use. b/c Dolphin in excellent. Just wish it had a plain black or grey theme.

skyfire has been great for flash vids from sites no normally supported. But would never use it other than that, little sluggish. But still much better than on WM

Default and Dolphin hd are the best. Tried opera mini, which was my favorite wm browser for years, but pinch and zoom feature is too good to pass up. Plus tapping links is much. easier with dolphin and default, found myself having issues with mini recognizing my taps.

ive been messing with the phone allot but ive been seing soo much differnt browsers to use chrome dolphin xScope which one does everyone think is the best

couple questions...

Skyfire 2.0, are not all flash sites available? I used to be able to watch MLB.tv on my Diamond with Skyfire for WM but not so much on Android.

Any suggestions on how to get it to work? Or am I playing the waiting game for Skyfire folks to get this piece moving like it was for WM?

you have to open flash in a different window there is a button you have to push not like windows mobile where it was just there.

Thanks but still no dice, maybe I am still doing someting wrong. When i go to their media page, I click on the game I want to watch, a new box pops up and says must install the latest version of adobe flash player. So i click menu but the video button is greyed out, nothing for me to select.

I'm using DolphinHD. I like it a lot and it's easy to manage bookmarks. I don't know about best, though ... that is so subjective.

if you go to the normal browser and type about:debug and hit go (nothing will appear to happen) then go into settings and at the very bottom there will be a UAString setting, select that and you can view mobile, iphone, or desktop. after doing that I stopped using dolphin HD because the regular browser works even more-so like a desktop browser.

I've been using Dolphin HD, but to be honest. I haven't given the default browser a chance. Dolphin HD is nice though!

Haven't tried DolphinHD but Xscope has been satisfying my Google Chrome addiction.

I switch back and forth between DolphinHD and the default browser. I like the tabs better in DolphinHD and running flash 10.1, the flash content runs a bit faster than on the default browser. For example, abc.com, the videos work pretty well on DolphinHD with flash 10.1. Redtube.com desktop version also work well with DophinHD where the default browser always shows the mobile version (even with UserAgent tweak).

Dolphin is just as good as the stock browser.
For something different and better run Xscope browser
