Re: im looking for an app (free one would be great)
Sync with outlook and then export as CSV and then import to Google?

Re: im looking for an app (free one would be great)
Take your phone into the store, when you buy the Evo have them transfer your contacts with the little box device they have...That would be the easiest way...or do the exchange email backup, export and import to google.

Re: im looking for an app (free one would be great)
sync with a gmail account using activesync on wm. then when you first sign in with that gmail account on android all of your contacts will automatically be imported, including pics and all
this si the best method, all my phone automatically sync with my new contacts from gmail. my tp2, my pre, and now my EVO. its the easiest way and kind of future proof too. Come join the cloud |
Re: im looking for an app (free one would be great)
Can't you just use bluetooth to transfer the contacts?

Sprite backup is what I'm using.

Re: im looking for an app (free one would be great)
2nd the sprite backup.
Contacts ringers pics music even the sd card can be backed up Across roms it can be restored even (that was on winmo , not sure on android) 2nd choice would be activesync with Google. I used that method for my wife. |

If you sync with Outlook just sync your Touch Pro2 and then use HTC Sync on the Incredible.
Worked great for me. gadget |
contact backup compatibility ??
just wondering if the evo has a compatibility with PIM backup or miscrosoft my phone orrrr any other program that worked with the touch pro 2 ??
|
Re: contact backup compatibility ??
I dont know about a backup utility or anything like that with the evo, but creating a CSV file with outlook and importing that file to my gmail account was a snap. Then it automatically links to your phone and installs your contacts once you set up the marketplace with your gmail account.
Plus google calender is almost instant when adding an event on your phone your calender on your pc is automatically updated without connecting your phone to your comp. Also vice versa add an event on your computer and it will be on your phone. |
Re: contact backup compatibility ??
