Evo Tethering
Is there or will there be a work around for the tethering on the EVO. I am thinking about switching from my TP2 to go to the Evo, but if I am going to pay the cool tax($10) I am going to have to sop up the data. I would rather give one of you guys $30 dollars for being so cool, then letting sprint take advantage of me with the $10 dollar a month cool tax, and $30dollar a month tethering on top of my everything plan. No rush just please keep me posted as you guys always do thanks.

Re: Evo Tethering
it should not take too much time to allow any of the apps out there from the other android phones to use the Evo for tethering.

Re: Evo Tethering
AFAIK, the only way to do a full backup is with a custom recovery partition installed, and since the bootloader hasn't been unlocked yet, there's not a way to do that.
I'm not sure what features it offers, but there's an app like Titanium Backup that lets you backup your apps and stuff...just not sure if it backs up the whole ROM so you can flash it back or not. Assuming HTC didn't change anything or release an OTA update upon its release, if its rooted, someone could try to wireless tether app from the Market and see if it works. Its a free download and works on the N1. |
