Network / Multiplayer Games???
 

right now i use the touch pro 2 for sprint but as soon as the
evo 4g comes out i will be a brand new android user
here is my question:

does android allow for online multiplayer gaming? not like
bluetooth but can i actually connect to a online server over
wifi or my phones web connection and play like poker or uno
or racing games with other android users in america? or
maybe just the state i live in?

In a word, yes. I have a Texas hold 'em poker game that lets you play online against other people online. And there are plenty more, of varying genres, available.

so... hows it work? u open the app it connects to a server and you join tables already in progress? do they all have to have the same phone as you or any android device will do? is there a monthly fee? can you play strangers for real money?

anyone else play similar multiplayer games?

I have a homerun derby game called homerun battle 3d, you have to fill up a bar by hitting homeruns. you can buy powerups and so forth, its highly addicting. you even play against iphone users as well as android users. I also play a game called armored strike as well against other android users.

Yeah, sorry, I have been really busy lately. That game allows you to connect to a room of your choice, public or private (with private access code). And it is players from any number of Android devices playing.
