Here's a link to the Fennek pre-alpha release. So far it's confirmed to work on the Motodroid and the Nexus one, and. It's a 10.24MB file.

It runs on stock roms but not all rooted.

Check it out if you want... I'd recommend reading the article prior to installation.

How well does it work on your droid, I am very excited for a beta release. I am not interested in using alpha software...

Thanks for sharing banden. I downloaded and installed it on my Hero (Fresh 2.0d) and it did just as they said it would: loaded, closed and then reloaded. The problem is that within 1-2 seconds of the second load, it closed again and did not reload. Subsequent loads yielded the same result. I tried a quick reboot of my Hero however got the same close on load.

So the best I got out of it was a quick "welcome to fennec" screen. Can someone who has loaded it and can run it successfully please give us a breakdown of what you think about it? Pros, cons and overall impression?

Yup, that's exactly what happened to me. I had a feeling the hero didnt have the guts to do it. Th 10mb filesize kinda got me suspicious haha

I was to anxious to wait for the beta, so I tried it, I'll have to say its quite impressive for alpha software, better then dolphin in fact. I found it doesn't work very well with the keyboard...

I don't even get the Welcome To Fennec screen lol. Running a custom ROM on my N1 it'll get a black screen then close right away.

hmm it must only like the Droid then since the N1 should eat that alive!
