I never updated the OS on my 700wx for just that reason. I know there are other ROMs out there that have been reported to be snappier, but I am a believer that devices are made with a specific OS in mind. I know there are the devices that are flexible enough to upgrade without issue, but I don't think the 700wx (or Treo's in general so far) are one of them. I really didn't see anything in the 6.1 that I 'needed' that 5 didn't have.

Other than being a bit more sluggish, did you get the functions you wanted running?
