Too early to tell, plus I may never get a good comparison. A brand new battery always takes a bit to get to its full capacity, and flashing your work phone is a pain in the ***, so I don't intend to do it often.

In theory, anything that reduces access to the flash chip should reduce power, but I wouldn't expect a significant, or possibly even noticable difference, unless you reduce writes (which are power-hungry in flash due to the erase cycle).
