and for the record, but cameras are major suckage. anyone who says anything different just doesn't use theirs, or wants to be happy with it. but the camera is slow as ****, blurs every pic you take in anything less than daylight, and overall produces really big pictures that are grainy, blury, washed out, and overall terrible. i haven't taken one picture with this phone worth printing. maybe its just because i'm a photo major, and use expensive equipment everyday, but this phone takes the WORST pictures. htc really needs to fix the camera app, because whether its the diamond or the pro, just move the phone around with the camera turned on, and see if you can see anything. you need to put the damn thing on a tripod to get a decent picture.

one difference that was an issue with diamond users was that the touch pro has a different radio rom version. the sprint and verizon versions both have different versions. i had the verizon radio rom on my diamonds, and the battery life was improved. my pro seems to have signficantly better battery life than the diamond as well. su2u also does't work on the pro very well, but worked fine on my diamond. no clue about that, something about the video drivers maybe? there's differences though, software and hardware...

thanks for the info...

I would suspect the radio rom versions to be updated sometime in the next 6 months.... I don't really see why a keyboard would have a different rom.

rom versions surely effect batterly life, but since you noticed that w/ the verizon radio rom, the pro had better battery life than the diamond, then the diamond's hardware isn't to blame for lower battery life.... sprint actually lists the diamond at 4.somethin hours talk time, and the pro at only 4 hours. as far as su2u... that worked great on my 6800, but the longer I used it, the more it slowed down everything.... I think I will stay away from that app.... I don't need to look like I have a lock that copies iphone.... I can see the video graphics being different, since the pro needs room for the keyboard.... but I don't see why they made so much different to a phone that is basically the same, even CALLED the same thing, just one has a keyboard and one doesn't.

like I said... I need the keyboard regardless, but I'd like to look into it more.

I APOLOGIZE for taking this thread off track.... but it is SOMEWHAT to the point.... expressing the differences between the two types, and even throwing in some crap about black berry customization now that sprint actually includes gps and threaded sms so I don't have to install it seperate
