If this is uninteresting to you, just stop reading but I just noticed that Sprint has released a Picturemail app of their very own.

I went to the 'software store' and clicked on free/demo and there it was looking all excited.

it took me 2 reboots to get it to work right, but it works (i think) and it can link to your Myspace and Photobucket albums too.
