I think you have it completely backwards. It is simple. There is MORE hardware and features in the Touch Pro and therefore it WILL be the same price (because of lack of built in flash) *OR* more likely it will cost the $50 to $100 more than the Diamond because of the built-in Flash, Keyboard, and Video Out. The keyboard itself is enough hardware to jack up the price a little bit.
Personally I would like to see both phones released at the same price and let them be sold solely based on their merits alone, but I don't hold my breath for that one to happen.
Flash memory is SUPER cheap and Sprint could EASILY bundle a microSD card in with the Touch Pro which I could buy 4GB for $17 and a large company buying them a few thousand at a time could easily get a better price direct from the manufacturer. Other forms of flash memory are even cheaper for 4GB ($12).
