running stand alone has nothing to do with WAAS or EGNOS. Waas and egnos are for better accuracy. The are an addon to regular gps originally intended to help planes land with more precision.

My mogul get's a warm start in only 15 or so seconds with garmin software. less then a min from a cold start with garmin, but's that's probably because it's also using it in Agps mode as well.

I have no idea if it's waas enabled or not, but do you really need that kind of accuracy within ~5 feet. Typical gps is within about ~15 feet, which is fine for driving or hiking.
