Sending directly to the email address should work from any phone or from a computer. It is working from my Sprint Touch over GMail. There really should be nothing preventing it from working. I would check to make sure you are sending to the correct email address and make sure you know the carrier that the person you are sending to is what you thought it was. If not then I have no ideas.
