Yes sir!
All versions of the CHT Editor, from 1.6 on, are intended to be futureproof, for this purpose.
I have had no issues with importing settings saved from 1.6 Editor into the new 1.6.1 Editor.
You may have a switch or two you will wanna change after, due to some of the new settings, but most changes will take effect as expected, including all your quick link assignments.
