I seriously see no relevance of some of these posts in this thread that articulate a personal preference for one OS over another. That is not the issue here nor has any bearing. It's childish partisanship.

Why would Google buying HTC "be awesome"? What is it about Google that makes you think they know anything about engineering phones, dealing with carriers, firmware, etc? How will it squelch the other 15 OEMs who make WM devices? How would the Nexus One be any different if Google owned HTC? Why would ticking of Motorola be a good business decision? Begin by answering some of those questions.

Try using facts, evidence, probability, precedent to make your point--it goes a lot further.

Now I'm off to write my "Why Microsoft should buy Apple" article
