That's interesting. I was told to call Asurion for replacement by retentions as well. I called and was asked their 3 questions: did you drop it, was it lost/stolen, is there water damage? Since I answered no to all 3 questions, I was told that they have to cancel my claim. She explained, and tried to be nice about it, that Sprint's telling me to call Asurion for replacement was basically insurance fraud. Their service only kicks in when its not mechanical/electrical malfunction.
