Question Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

I have a Sprint Touch Diamond. I used BAF MSL Grabber to get my MSL. I launch EPST and click on edit. When I enter the MSL that BAF MSL Grabber gave me into the lock code, I get and error to check my MSL.

Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

If you can't get this program working on your Diamond or TP (like myself), just do the regedit. Works for me EVERY TIME.
  1. Get a Registry Editor (i like PHM)
  2. Navigate to HKLM/Software/HTC/ATDbgLog
  3. Change the value of Enable to 1
  4. Change the value of LogMode to 1
  5. Wait 2-5 mins. (I usually wait like one minute, but whatever works)
  6. Soft reset
  7. Check to make sure the folder /Atlog has been created in the main memory
  8. Navigate back to the registry location indicated before (HKLM/Software/HTC/ATDbgLog)
  9. Change Enable to 0
  10. Change LogMode to 0
  11. Wait 2-5 mins.
  12. Soft reset
  13. Navigate to the /Atlog folder in the main memory and openATDbg0.txt
  14. There will be a RETARDED amount of information in this text file. You are looking for "Rx:+HTC_RMSL:######\r\n0\r"
  15. Those pound signs are your MSL. Enjoy.

Hit thanks if i helped.

I get the same error with my Q as well. I've tried both the vanilla 3.5 framework and the 3.5 cab you linked to. I've tried a soft reset as well. Any suggestions?

Re: BAF MSL Grabber, version 1

I just tried it with my touch pro and it didn't work even after two resets. I don't know if this is a repeated information, but here is how I got it to work:

1. install the program
2. put your phone into flight mode.
3. reset.
4. Run the program

you should be able to retrieve the numbers.

Im not sure if it WILL work with a Q, it's more wrote to work with HTC devices and the Q is not one. Here is the simplest way to get the SPC of a Q. Use a virtual port and make the com port 1 then run this se47 tool.
