This is over at xda- Developers. It started out just being a oper mini 4.1 shortcut. Now he's andding a gmail shortcut. This is a really sweet cab set up, well worth taking a look at. Can't get much easier than this. Enjoy.

Thanks T M Z

http://forum.xda-developers.com/images/icons/icon1.gif [Update 6/17] GC Java Pack 1.0
GC Java Pack 1.0 for Windows Mobile

This CAB will do the following:

- Install Esmertec Jbed 20080222.3.1
- Install Opera Mini 4.1 - Build 4.1.11355 20080522
- Install Gmail
- Sign Opera Mini as trusted (removes annoying prompt windows)
- Sign Gmail as trusted (removes annoying prompt windows)
- Install shortcut for Opera Mini 4.1 in Start->Programs with icon.
(Includes extra Opera Mini 4.1 icon in the dll for Today launchers.)
- Install shortcut for Gmail in Start->Programs with icon.
(Includes extra Gmail icon in the dll for Today launchers.)
- Install shortcut for Esmertec Jbed in Start->Programs.

Perfect for UC, or if you're just tired of having to install Jbed first, then go through the hassle of compiling Opera Mini, Gmail, etc. Everything is done for you in the cab.

If you don't use Gmail and just want Jbed and Opera Mini, just install the Opera Mini cab.

Warning:
You may have to reinstall your other java applications if you are using Jbed as your midlet manager already.

Also, it's a wise idea to make a backup of your Appdb folder in \Windows.

Enjoy! http://forum.xda-developers.com/imag...es/biggrin.gif

Awesome. Trying it now. It was never annoying enough to mess with the old hacks but this is welcome as I use Opera Mini daily and gmail occasionally (normally I just use it via messaging).

Will installation of this interfere with the Java engine built into the latest Mogul and any applications (e.g., the Music Store/Player) that rely on it?

This installs just fine on my Treo but when I use the gmail app, it closes up as soon as I enter my login info. I even did a hard reset and had nothing else loaded and did the same thing.

Did anyone ever answer this? Will it disable the Music Store/Player on the Touch/Mogul by installing this?

Thanks.

Ok. I tried it and it works fine. It doesn't replace or disable the Java application that comes with the installation firmware. So far the new Opera Mini and Sprint Music Store are working fine.
