Re: Gmail and opera mini shortcut(6/17/08)

I too am having a problem with the gmail shortcut. After I enter my password it keeps connecting and disconnecting but after a couple pop down 'bubbles' it tells me that this application needs an internet connection. Not having any connection probs with any other apps. Anyone else having this issue?

Re: Gmail and opera mini shortcut(6/17/08)

That sorta happened to me when I tried to run Opera mini 1st time.. I kept on trying to run it though and eventually it got through. Still disconnects all the time though

Might have to try a different java - but it's wierd, Esmertec was working fine on my previous install.

Red face Re: Gmail and opera mini shortcut(6/17/08)

Will this work on WIndows Mobile 6.1. I would love to have both apps on my Treo 800w.

[Update 6/17] GC Java Pack 1.0
GC Java Pack 1.0 for Windows Mobile

This CAB will do the following:

- Install Esmertec Jbed 20080222.3.1
- Install Opera Mini 4.1 - Build 4.1.11355 20080522
- Install Gmail
- Sign Opera Mini as trusted (removes annoying prompt windows)
- Sign Gmail as trusted (removes annoying prompt windows)
- Install shortcut for Opera Mini 4.1 in Start->Programs with icon.
(Includes extra Opera Mini 4.1 icon in the dll for Today launchers.)
- Install shortcut for Gmail in Start->Programs with icon.
(Includes extra Gmail icon in the dll for Today launchers.)
- Install shortcut for Esmertec Jbed in Start->Programs.

Perfect for UC, or if you're just tired of having to install Jbed first, then go through the hassle of compiling Opera Mini, Gmail, etc. Everything is done for you in the cab.

If you don't use Gmail and just want Jbed and Opera Mini, just install the Opera Mini cab.

Warning:
You may have to reinstall your other java applications if you are using Jbed as your midlet manager already.

Also, it's a wise idea to make a backup of your Appdb folder in \Windows.

Enjoy!

Re: Gmail and opera mini shortcut(6/17/08)

who ever made this, this is just amazing! I have treo 800w from sprint. For the 800w only opera works perfect and gmail works with some flaws.

Gmail -

1 - If you use the hard key to "sign in", it will kick you out. Try taping the "sign in" on the screen it self to see if that works.

2. there is no sign out if you have multiple accounts, so after you sign on -
tap on the menu ----> go to-----> settings and "uncheck" always keep me signed in (you will stayed sign in, until you go to task manager and end task)

Does the exact same thing for me. Anyone got a fix?
