Edit PIM backup files???

Ok ok I feel pretty stupid asking this but I cant find a thread on it. How do you edit the backup contacts file created within PIM backup. It shows as an excel file but excel says it can't read the file format. I know I'm just doing somthing stupid. I just need to know what that stupid thing is....

are you trying to add contacts or numbers easily with the keyboard on the pc or something??

Or why else would you want to edit the pim backup file.

If you wanted to use the pc keyboard for data entry into the ppc you could use Mymobiler.

Mymobiler does alot of stuff including controlling the ppc from your pc and taking screenshots.

Humm....good program. Good find but maybe im just stuck. I was trying to find away to dump a lot of data in at one time. Like reformating a company contact list and pushing them all in at once. Thanks anyway tho.

I used SMSimport to back up my SMS so that I could edit them.

For instance, when you get a text from someone you don't know, it is stored under their phone number, and not their name... so you have to go through and edit the name...

An easy way would be to make a file with your contacts, comma delimited would work fine, import this into outlook, and then sync it....
