I just got that email too.

I knew I'd be beaten to posting it. I haven't tried it yet but I'm excited to!

Re: New Netfront update.

I must say... this browser is BLISTERING fast. It doesn't even lag when you're scrolling down the page, including with your finger.

The only thing that irks me about it is the out of memory errors on the Mogul. Other than that, it passes the single-column page rendering test with flying colors unlike Opera 9.5

One other thing that is bugging me though... how do you get rid of that stupid preview panel on the right? The browser p***** the Engadget test (which Opera 9.5 failed MISERABLY) except that part of the text is covered by that stupid preview thing and I can't figure out how to kill it!

Re: New Netfront update.

id have to disagree, i find opera 9.5 easier to use and more true to desktop form. The zooming in Netfront is very counter-intuitive starting zoomed in and having to see the popup full page to get around. Thats the natural feel to start at the whole page and zoom to what you want to view. i dunno what engadget test that is, but 9.5 was an exact match to the desktop site side by side with the proper config and zoom settings. On the contrary Netfront couldn't natively display engadget's site in any viewable fashion except zoomed out to 25% which made text impossible. starting zoomed in and needing to use that tiny box to find the section of the page simply isnt an ideal method vs a full screen zoomed out and you click to zoom on a section. i personally have had zero issues with the newest 9.5 build with a few tweaks to it that are around (zooming %'s, turbo mode, auto cache, etc)

Re: New Netfront update.

just downloaded and am trying it right now. Seems way better than v1. A lot smaller to install than Opera 9.5. zooming is counter-intuitive as well for me and would love to change it. Only had 1 out of memory error but that was on a graphics intensive site (wink wink).

BTW how do I get Youtube working with Netfront? Works fine in PIE, but no joy with Netfront or Opera mini.
