HTC MP3 trimmer

just posting this HTC MP3 Trimmer

it's hacked from a telus phone. something like this is already included in the newer htc audio manager, but this is just the mp3 trimmer which can be used to make ringtones directly on the phone.

i can only test it on wm 6

I use a desktop PC utility called MP3 TrimPro. It's an old version, 1.80, but has lots of features without all the specialized baggage added into more recent versions. (It's not free.) There's gotta be others. And there's always the option of converting to WAV, editing the wave (much better control), and then re-encoding to MP3. All of this would be done on desktop. Don't know of any pocket app other than the newer HTC AudioManager.

Wav Pad is what I use, you can trim and modify volume and a host of additional settings too many to list. Trial is out there

i use goldwave...its a pay program but i just use the free version...works perfectly

I use Xilisoft myself and like it a lot. Desktop app, and not free, but it converts audio and also merges audio files, as well as complete video conversion.

I have this trimmer on my HTC Touch I love it and I want to put it on my pc, I down loaded it but it does not work. any ideas??

i use Audacity for making ringtones. it's free and a VERY powerful program for adding effects and editing and fixing ID3 tags. what i really want is a program like this for my Treo 700wx though. i hate having to wait to get to a computer to make a tone even though i can download the full song right through my phones browser with no problems. i'll try this app but if it doesn't work, does anyone know of any other apps that do this on the phone? most of the ones listed in this thread are desktop apps.
