Facebook app stuck at getting at Getting ID

Hello all

I have a Verizon HTC TouchPro 2 with the stock 6.1 WM OS.

I just installed the Microsoft Facebook app ver 1.4 (1.1.0.26) and am trying to get it to work, but after I get the first screen to put in my Email and Password and do that, all it does is sit at a Getting User ID page, with a bar scroll above that, an never does any more.

Note: Yes I am sure I am using the correct ID's, have confirmed it several times via my PC and have tried this about a dozen times making very sure both are correct, also have tried this on both my home WiFi connection which is working for everything else and my cellular data connection which is working for everything else.

Also note that I tried this with version v1.0.0.7p of that app and it did the same thing.

Also I have tried just letting it sit like this for quite some time and at least for what I have given it, that doesn't seem to matter.

So am I missing something, is this app actually no good for WM 6.1?

If it isn't, is there a version that does work with 6.1?

Have you tried using Opera, pointed to m.facebook.com ?

Yes I can get on fine to facebook using any browser and going to either the mobile site or even the regular.

Also btw I have had perfectly fine success with this with the XDA Facebook App.

Also note that since this post, I have tried about every version from v1.0.0.7p to the latest one and each has the same problem.
