Another option that worked for me was to delete the registry key below and then soft reset. The key below is created by older versions of N2A's modded HTC Home Plug to redirect weather to his server rather than accuweather's. If your city is not already in htc.accuweather.com then you must download a new version.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\htc.accuweathe r.com

Some may experience issues with the registry changes not sticking. If you run into this issue, try hitting the power button and waiting a few minutes before resetting.
The .cab fixes for the htc weather problem did not work for me (tried a few times in a couple ways). However the registry change did, and was alot easier.

Strangest thing. Mine wasn't working for the past few days, I did nothing (because I was preoccupied trying to deal with OTHER issues my p4000 was having) and now it works.

Thanks Stroths!

I was thinking this weather issue was something easy. I deleted the key, reset and all is working as before!

NEW FIX FOR HTC Home Plugin then your weather stopped updating recently

On The Install Of The Upgrade Kitchen Rom , The Htc Weather Quit Updating...so I Came Here For A Fix.. Not Sure Why But . I Decided To Try Something..it Worked.... I Just Did A "clear Storage" ... Once That Was Done I Was About To Install A Registry Editor When The Weather Popped Up And Updated Itself And Was Correct!!
So Give That A Try Before You Do All That Other Stuff !

Good Luck.

I had to purchase the new version of Roxio Explorer for $20 to make the registry deletion, and now the weather works just fine. I am running Helmi's August 2007 kitchen on a Sprint PPC-6700.

Removing the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\htc.accuweathe r.com
and a soft reboot worked for me.

NEW INSTRUCTION.. FIND THIS FOLDER IN YOUR REGISTRY USING A REGISTRY EDITOR

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Tcpip\Hosts\htc.accuweathe r.com

OPEN THE FOLDER, YOU WILL FIND A COUPLE OF LINES..ONE OF THEM WILL LET YOU DELETE IT... DO SO.. CLOSE THE EDITOR AND SOFT REBOOT YOUR PPC ...THE WEATHER WILL WORK INSTANTLY NOW.

PUT THIS INSTRUCTION PARAGRAPH ON A TEXT DOCUMENT AND NAME IT WEATHER FIX AND PUT IT SOMEPLACE ON YOUR HARD DRIVE AND COPY IT TO YOUR STORAGE CARD FOR FUTURE USE. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A CAB FILE OF THE REGISTRY EDITOR IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT PERM. INSTALLED IN THE ROM ... PUT THE CAB IN YOUR STORAGE CARD TOO..
( THIS IS ALL FOR NEWBIES...)

Some may experience issues with the registry changes not sticki
ng. If you run into this issue, try hitting the power button and waiting a few minutes before resetting.

Clear Storage does a hard reset, and thus would eliminate the registry key in question, however it eliminates everything else as well, so I'd avoid that!
