Editing Audiopara.csv or Audiopara3.csv Help needed

Hi everyone!

I have a question.

I have a HTC Shift running on WM 6.1, and I'm trying to change the microphone sensivity level. When calling friends they complain that threy can barely hear me. This is a known problem for the Shift users which uses the new ROMS with phone functionality.

I am pretty sure it is the Audiopara.csv or Audiopara3.csv files which has to be edited, but I don't know how to edit the values in these files.

I have a strong feeling that the ....MIC lines in this file has to be edited, but I don't know how to change them to raise the mic sensivity.

Are these values HEX values?

Can someone give me some advice?

I have tried the nueAudio, but it didn't read all nessesary settings, so I think it has to be done manually.

Hi, some minutes ago I got the attached Audiopara3 from a friend. He said its modified for more loudness. Because of the short time I couldn`t test it by myself - may be you try it and it helps you...

When you increase the mic volume you're also going to increase the background ambient noise (or over modulate your voice). Attached, I'm going to include my AudioPara3.csv (it's zipped, you will have to unzip).

I've found this version (which is subsequently the 'stock' Alltel ROM AudioPara3.csv) to be the best. Alternatively, It has many of the microphone and volume level tweaks already in it. It also won't set the stock volume level to a a level that may/will cause permanent ear damage.

I use RARLab's WinRAR: http://www.rarlab.com/ and have set it to make a ZIP (instead of the default RAR) when I created the ZIP file. I've downloaded it again and can extract it fine. I've also tried extracting it w/ the default archiver that comes built into the Windows XP shell and that seems to work fine also.
