Help Please! power button and device lock!

where in the registry is the power hard key located? is there a way to assign the device lock to that button? and by device lock, i mean lock the keypad and press a softkey and tap unlock, not the 4 digit pin lock. confusing maybe, but i hope someone can help me out. TIA

and my device is an HTC 6800 (Mogul)

thanks for the recommendation. i have slide2unlock, but when i get a text, it bypasses the screen, so my device gets unlocked anyway. that totally defeats the purpose. any way to fix that? i looked at the reg entries for that and the faq explaining them and i dont see anything that might fix it.

any recommendations on a different program that can keep the phone locked except when receiving a phone call?
