T Mobile 3g wcdma

It is my understanding that T Mobile USA will use the Wcdma 3g which is a duel band 1700/2100 band whereas in europe the 3g used is 1900/2100. The lower part is used for uploading to the tower and the higher end for downloading to the phone. Since my phone is a TYTN II from htc which is 1900/2100 capable it can't use the 1700/2100 wcdma . No overseas phones will work on the t mobile USA 3g network . Is there way to modify my phone to work?
