samsung i760 doesn't charge via USB

I just got the i760 and it doesn't appear to be charging when hooked up to my laptop. My 6700 used to get charged in this mode. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal. Is there a registry tweak involved?

You need to purchase a special charge/sync USB cable. The one that comes with the Samsung SCH-i760 is only a sync cable. You can find a cheap one on Amazon. I have the Gomadic retractable one, works good.
