Smile Pair TomTom One to Mogul Phone

I just spend about 30 minutes on the phone with Tom Tom Tech Support. They claim that thier device will not pair with the Sprint phones because SPrint does not support the use of external GPS devices...they want you to use thier devices and software instead.

Is there some sort of a hack or something that I can do that will let me pair the TomTom ONE to my SPrint Mogul to be able to download things like weather and traffic while I am on the road.

I did do a search and coudl not find an answer to this. If there is one, please forgive me for not finding it...

Thanks!!!

Re: Pair TomTom One to Mogul Phone

This is an incomplete answer, but may help a little -

I have a TomTom 700, and found instructions that said to install DUN on my phone to get the TomTom to dial up weather and traffic. There was an issue with the phone, as the Mogul isn't on the "supported" list with the TomTom, and I never was able to obtain a connection with TomTom weather and traffic correctly, though when paired, the TomTom showed my phone having dialup capability. Getting this working on the TomTom 700 also required updating the TomTom software, which subsequently disabled the TomTom's bluetooth speakerphone capability, so I reverted back to the older TomTom software and removed the DUN stuff from my phone... the speakerphone is more important than traffic and weather for me.

You may have better luck since you're using the TomTom One - I believe that's newer than my TomTom 700.

Unfortunately, I don't remember where I found instructions on pairing the TomTom and the phone - maybe at the xda-developer site, or one of the TomTom forums.

Hope that helps, --TonyKovac
