Having Reg Edit problems with Win Vista

I am running Windows Vista on my computer and can not install PHMRegEdit. Furthermore, when I try to use CeRegEditor or Registry Workshop, I keep getting an "Access Denied" pop up. What can i do to get around these. I am a noob and any help would be much appreciated.

Problem solved for CeRegEdit

Open CeRegEdit, connect device. Go to "Tools" and select " Unlock Registry" THis allowed me to edit my registry with no pops up telling me it was unauthorized.

So we can just edit the ppc registry through the pc desktop...?
