Need Hi-Visibility Mil-Spec Dialer!
I am awaiting deployment and plan to take my HTC TP2 for use in the Middle East. I selected this phone, because it is CDMA and GSM. I really like it, however I am a little disappointed with the OEM Dialer skin.
I need something with more visibility then gray on a white background as is the case with the standard dialer. I tried to download Cmylxgo's Black Dialer, but sadly that seems no longer available. Even that one, uses what appears to be light gray on Black, White or even bright green would be better from a visibility standpoint, perhaps with bolder numbers. I want something that I can see under the majority of conditions, and hopefully, without my reading glasses. It would great if it would work with my standard ROM. I have searched and seen nothing like this, any advice? |

i would use dusk dialer. but would prefr it in the dusk rom. also if you are deploying did you unlock phone radio/sim to work in country.

What is the "Dusk Dialer" ... OK... I found the ROM, but I like the Dialer better then the ROM, appearance wise anyway! I guess making the numbers bolder means a new font, I would have thought that the keys were all graphics files. |

This is one I did this morning to illustrate what I am looking for, please do not laugh, I used M$ Paint! The scale is off, I used one I found to roughly hack it out.I would have liked to see the characters clearer, but that is a limitation of my program. I also have thought about 2 letters on one side of the digit, and one on the other so that they could all be made bigger. Blue and Green are the last colors to disappear in low light, as anyone who has skindived will confirm. I have no idea if what I am trying to do is within the technical limitations of the phone, I would assume that the correct sized skin, which this isn't, just close, would be applied were the actual touch points are encoded. HornDoctor, thanks, yes I am aware that my Sprint will work in most areas overseas already, but as you said, I also wanted the capability to throw in an AT&T GoPhone SIM, for more US coverage. As to the accolades, I am not worthy! I am just an "old" cop that is trying to help these folks, and pad my retirement. The heros are the young kids that are out there in the thick of it! http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...rProject-1.jpg |

Wow, your version looks much better and smoother! You have some skills! Now, I know that for the style guys that this may not the Pimped look that they want, but I am super happy with this! Now, I am going to get busy testing it! I will report back ASAP!
Thanks! |
