google voice over wifi only
 

hey everyone,

been playing around with idialer and google voice. just wanted to know if anyone completely made google voice and idialer work with using wifi only. theres a few location sprint isnt doing too well at and i would love it if i was able to use some wifi to make calls. thanks

Are you making calls though Google Voice over the internet on your phone (AKA: VOIP not using min) ?

If you are, how do you set this up, can you give a link for directions ??????

Hey guys! Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to use google voice via wifi, as it would be extremely helpful when travelling internationally.

It's not easy. and the outcome won't be 'great' more like mediocre. but you'd have to use VOIP. a good program for wm is PortGo.

so a free sip voip provider like Whistle
have your googlevoice calls forwarded to your Whistle phone number
have your whistle sip account set up in PortGo.

now you can use your tp2 as a wifi phone.

like i said, a time consuming set up, but will work.
