Start Menu

Please forgive what is probably a stupid question but I've searched numerous threads and forums on this site and cannot find the answer to my question. I have a Verizon TP2 running WM6.5 Stock ROM. When I hit start, I get a 3 column grid with "+" signs so I can assign programs to it. I am limited to 10 rows. My friend has a Sprint TP2 also running WM6.5 Stock ROM but has a tab on TF3D for programs that looks like my Start menu. When he hits start, he gets the "honeycomb" style menu that you can configure with folders, etc.
Here are my questions:
1.) What is each start menu called?
2.) Can I change to the start menu my friend has (including the "programs" tab) without flashing to a new ROM?
3.) If so, how?

Thanks!

Do you by any chance know what the cab does? If it is just a few registry entries maybe I can fix it. Otherwise, I'm going to have to do a hard reset and that is very time consuming.

Re: Start Menu

Check out post #5 on this thread. I asked the same thing when I first got my Touch Pro 2.
