Semi Transparent Backgrounds

How do you make it so manila graphics are semi-transparent?

Well you'd have to edit the manila files themselves, then inject them back into the device. I use CFC-GUI but there are a few ways of editing manila graphics.

which elements were you planning on making translucent anyways?

I'm actually working on a manila 2.5 theme that involves semi-transparent panels for each page (and works with Santod's BG4all mod) so the background image can really come through... i'm going to start a thread pretty soon. you should have a look!

good luck!

Re: Semi Transparent Backgrounds

I really want to make the graphics I'm making for the slider transparent, so it works well with any background. I am using CFC-GUI to replace the images, but I'm unsure of how to create the semi-transparency. Can I just save the image with a set transparency value and that work?

Re: Semi Transparent Backgrounds

If you're using Photoshop/Illustrator or any other image editing program, just save the images as PNGs. If they're transparent, it should show in CFC-GUI. just press a different colour swatch in the top bar in CFC-GUI (it changes the default BG colour to the color you choose - default is white) then you can see if your image came out semi-transparent or not. Good Luck!
