Fixes for weather animated homescreen (2.5 Manila)

I picked up a cab fix for the sunny animation for the 2.5 animated weather homescreen that worked wonders.

I'm wondering if fixes exist work for some of the other animations that severely lag like the raining or snowing animations?

thanks for the find man, yeah that sun animation was ridiculously slow

Just curious, what exactly does this do to help speed up the animation... If I have an understanding of what exactly this does, I may be able to incorporate into the other weather animations...

yup, so now when it comes on, everything else isnt laggy anymore

It looks like they lowered the resolution of the image. Not the size but the quality is much lower when compared to the original...

Do we know if that animation is suppose to be faster? Maybe it's suppose to be like that.

Supposedly, the fix included in this thread helps spead up the animation... My theory is that the lower quality images is what makes the animation faster...
